  • The St. Helens RocLok Hide a Key was the very first RocLok Hide a Key model ever created.
  • The original RocLok mock-up taken to the 2008 National Tool and Hardware Show in Las Vegas had a wooden lid that fit into a hollowed out area in the bottom of the rock.
  • The design for the key hiding chamber took nearly 1 year and cost $16,000 to produce.
  • In 2011 the RocLok Hide a Key attended 6 trade shows throughout the United States in the following cities:
    Cleveland, OH; Portland, OR; Ventura, CA; Anaheim, CA
  • Driving to these trade shows totaled approximately 7,500 miles over a 4 month period.
  • A pallet of 100 RocLok's (2 of each model) weighs 1100 lbs.

  • Inventor Ryan Belshee became the 3rd generation of his family to earn Boy Scouts of America's highest rank, Eagle, in 1997.
  • Owners Ryan and Melanie Belshee met while attending Beaverton High School and dated for 4 years before marrying in 2001. The couple celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary June 24, 2011.
  • The Belshee's are avid animal lovers adopting their 2 dogs (Kahlua and Bailey) and cat (Sambuca) from area shelters.  They strive to support animal rescue's through fundraising of RocLok sales whenever possible.
  • The St. Helens earned it's moniker because it was molded from a rock found along the Columbia River Gorge Hwy near Mount St. Helens in Washington State.
