It ain't easy being green.

But that doesn't stop us from trying.  We pride ourselves on during our part to reduce the carbon footprint our product and manufacturing possess has on the earth.  Every effort is made to eliminate environmentally harmful elements.  While we can not control every piece of the puzzle, we do our best to research and test alternative methods whenever possible.

A few of the efforts currently in affect:

• Re-using plastic (regrind) in the manufacturing of our injection molded key chamber.

• Implementing a soy based packaging foam which will lessen the impact our packaging has on landfills.

• Opting for corrugated boxes comprised of recycled materials.

Experiments have been done to replace a percentage of the cement material used in the RocLok with fly ash.  The result has so far been unsatisfactory as the strength of the end product is severally diminished.  Other efforts including testing soy based concrete stains however these tests have also proved unsuccessful.  We will continue testing earth friendly products as they become available.
