Key Safe - RocLok Hide a Key

This product made me laugh out loud at first. But after reflecting on how many times I’ve locked myself out of my apartment, I think it’s an ingenious idea.

My husband and I purchased a RocLok about a year ago and we've been very satisfied with the product. We especially like that it has a combination lock on it vs. other brands that simply look like rocks but are accessible by anyone who figures out it's a hide-a-key. We've used it periodically, but more importantly it comes with a peace of mind that even if we lose or forget our keys, we can still get into the property. We also think the finish and weight of the rock make it less identifiable as a key holder.Great product. We've recommended it to several friends.

After accidentally locking ourselves out of the house, and having to crawl on to our porch to get to an open window, I started looking for an item that we could hide our house keys in. I did not want the hide a key as all anyone would have to do is find it and pick it up and pull the key out, so I looked for something different. RocLok is different. We feel more secure knowing that there is a combination lock on the bottom so if anyone did find it they would still have to find the right combination to get the key. Awesome product. I've enjoyed the benefits of having the rock. It fits in nicely with the plants in front and reassure me that there's a safe way to leave a key for visiting friends and family.Cheers, great job.

Part of my job is helping others to maintain their homes and a problem we OFTEN run into is having people locked out of their homes. I have searched for years for a safe way to have outside keys and I have finally found it. This is the best hide a key I have seen. Date of Posting: 16 June 2009

I must admit to being a bit put off at spending $60 for a rock but after reading about the quality and the additional security features I decided to give it a try. WOW! Was I one pleased customer. First off, I placed my order on a weekend and I got a call right away asking for clarification on who the rock was going to (my teenage daughter who was always 'forgetting' her key and inconveniencing the rest of us with panic calls that she was locked out). The rock came in on time and not only did it look and feel like a real rock, even if someone figured out it wasn't, they couldn't get to the key. I love that I can place the rock in a readily accessible place because it is so realistic in look and feel. It just blends into the landscape. Now, I am able to keep my home secure yet provide my family, which includes 2 teenagers, the convenience of knowing a key is always available "just in case" and that happens a lot around our home.I would definitely recommend this product.

Just two days prior to going to the Portland Home and Garden show I locked myself out of the house. What a nightmare!! I was late for an important engagement, it was cold and rainy and to top it off, I did not have a coat with me. I called two locksmiths and I took the one that appeared to be more reasonably priced. The locksmith showed up an hour later then quoted and once they opened my door then it they charged me $50 over the quoted price on the phone. It took the locksmith 3 minutes to unlock my door, yet it cost me $175. I was so frustrated.I love the RocLok, I feel secure at all times knowing my house and car key are available to me at anytime and I don't have to leave a key with a neighbor. The rock is a nice weight and looks like the other rocks in my front yard. You cannot tell the difference. A great item and great value for the peace of mind and security it offers.
